Postdoctoral Researcher
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Annenberg Institute at Brown University. My research explores policies and practices that can help many different types of learners grow and thrive in grade-level classrooms. In particular, I am interested in understanding how to increase teachers' capacity for meaningful inclusion and how to improve special and gifted education services. I use quantitative and qualitative methods to explore and answer policy-relevant questions from diverse angles. I frequently engage with state- and district-level partners to ensure my work reaches policy and practice.
Prior to doctoral studies, I served as an elementary educator and instructional coach in Nashville and Los Angeles for eight years. I hold a Ph.D. in Education from Johns Hopkins University, a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from University of Georgia, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Greenville University.
